A Nigerian female councilor under the Labour Party in the United Kingdom, Chika Amadi has been suspended from the party.

She was suspended over social media posts branding Pride marchers [homosexual movement] “evil.”

Mrs. Amadi who is also a pastor and represents London Borough of Harrow, was suspended by the party, after she made multiple homophobic comments online.

She has referred to Prides as events for “pedophiles” and threatened people who challenged her remarks.

A Labour party spokesperson said, “Chika Amadi has been suspended from the Labour Party pending an investigation.”

Explaining further, the Spokesperson said, “One Twitter user once pointed out her homophobia and she responded with: ‘Evil. If you dare walk naked in front of my child God will give you terrible assignment that will put you to perpetual sleep. Be warned.’”

Also commenting on the incident, Harrow Council’s leader, Sachin Shah, told the Evening Standard that, “As Leader of Harrow Council and a proud Harrow resident I absolutely reject and condemn these abhorrent statements.

“Homophobic views have no place in our community – which is one of the most diverse and accepting in all of the UK.

“We stand for equal rights for all – and I have asked the national Labour Party to deal with this issue swiftly and decisively.”

  1. I don’t get these people! Equal rights huh? But it’s only those who are pro homosexuals that have a right to their opinions but those against it don’t have a right. Just doesn’t make sense!!
